A perfect place to live and learn.

Our Summer 2025 Mind to Market Programme is hosted in Stamford, with an exclusive takeover of Stamford Schools Sixth Form campus!

Stamford is a Lincolnshire market town with a population of over 21,000 known for its historic buildings, independent retailers, fantastic School and excellent transport links. Voted in March 2024 by The Sunday Times as ‘One of The Best Places to Live in Britain’, it will be an inspiring place for our students to explore and connect with.

Stamford is well connected by rail with direct services to Cambridge, Stansted Airport and Birmingham. Peterborough is 12 minutes away by train from where there is a 45-minute rail service to London King’s Cross.

Our exclusive takeover of St Martin’s provides students with a modern, adult focused
learning space.

Learning Environment

The St Martin’s space which will be exclusively dedicated to esa for our summer programmes has been carefully designed to offer spacious classrooms, a TED-style lecture theatre, common rooms and student café along with dining hall and atrium breakout areas. Students can work and collaborate in different spaces – from individual study breakout rooms to interactive large open spaces including use of the TED-style theatre for debate and discussion sessions. This environment helps prepare students for life after school, mirroring the workplace and university culture.

3 umbrella themes  cater for a range of interests, but every ESA course has the same key elements:

a new home that makes an amazing impression!

Orientation:

As well as an initial induction, the first Feature Activity of an ESA programme will be an orientation Scavenger Hunt. We use this event to familiarise the students with the town and introduce trusted / recommended traders and visitor sights. This prepares students for some of the planned free time options built into the programme where they will have some freedom to explore whilst adhering to regular rendezvous "check-ins" designated by the Social Rep for those sessions.

Comfort, fraternity and security:

Boarding houses are welcoming, homely and secure.  Rooming will be designed to promote a mix of nationalities and where possible, rooms will be shared between international students. A deposit will be taken for the key-card to access your house. Designated esa welfare staff will be living alongside students and will be present in house at all times that students are. A laundry service will also be available.

Quality and variety:

On site food is provided by the award-winning caterer Holroyd Howe, matching the excellent service that Stamford Students get throughout the year. There is some built-in time to opt-in for exploring the local food outlets in "Social Network" sessions and of course there will be two meals out included in the programme: In London and at our Mystery Excursion location.
